WATER ALERTS IN MEXICO – UPDATE February 20, 2025
As of January 2025, approximately 36% (874638 square kilometers) of Mexico is under drought conditions and 13% (325623 square kilometers) is Abnormally dry. A slight territorial increase since our previous report on January 6, 2024.
Map List
There are 10 Drought Alerts in Mexico, 4 more than in our previous Report. Most alerts are in the Sonoma and Chihuahua states in the north of the country.
Cuauhtémoc,
Heroica Caborca, Ciudad Obregón, Guaymas, and Culiacan were upgraded to Extreme Drought.
